Sister Carolyn passed away May 28, 2016

My sister Carolyn passed away May 28, 2016 in her home in the Dalles, Oregon. She died from Congestive Heart Failure & had been suffering from spots on her lungs (cancer.) She was a few days away from her 71st birthday. She's in the green dress above at her daughter Cindy's wedding in 1980. On the far left is my sister Doris, sitting is my mom, and the little girl is Sandra.

She leaves four daughters behind: Cindy Gunderson who lives in Enumclaw, Washington with husband Ken, two grand-daughters Christina & Samantha Gunderson, and two great-granddaughters: Mackenzie & . Daughter Candance Parks & husband Jason who lives in the Dalles, Oregon and two grand-children: Corey & Alexandra Reeves. Daughter Sara and Danny who live in Seattle area & Sara's children: Vanessa, Jacqueline (two children Dyson & ), and Cameron Harris. And daughter Sandra Hargrove and boyfriend.

She also leaves behind three sisters: Doris Berny's from the Dalles, Oregon, Janis Thurmann from Castle Rock, Washington, and Deborah Fahnholz, Boise, Idaho.

Her funeral was held at the LDS church in the Dalles, Oregon on June 4, 2016. She will be buried in the Carson cemetery by her husband Don Hargrove and parents Art & Stella Strode.

She will be missed by all. She was an active Latter Day Saint and served as a temple worker at the Portland Oregon Temple and was a wonderful wife and mother and grand-mother. She really loved walking, and her family and going to the temple.

Fat women in America

I know being overweight or obese is unhealthy for us. I've been overweight for sometime now but not nearly as heavy as these poor ladies. I think being overweight is more of an "emotional" issue rather than just genetics or poor eating habits or not enough exercise. When I was in high school I was always told I was too fat and I weighed appromately 140-150 pounds and at almost 5 feet 7 inches tall that wasn't fat at all. I think the abuse of family members and my ex-husband and boyfriends caused me to gain weight more than anything. When you are beaten with a belt by a brother it causes emotional issues. When your sister screams at you all night long she hopes you become a prostitute when you are just 19 it causes emotional issues. Or when you are married and your husband constantly puts you down and calls you an educated idiot, that you can't do anything right causes emotional issues. I know this is why I've gained my weight. Alaska Men's Magazine

I lived in Alaska 14 years and never saw guys that were this cute up there! But I did find a bunch of them who would try and run me over when waiting for a bus in Anchorage, and splash me with mud on purpose. I dated one who left me at a Mexican restaurant one time after having a severe acid reflux attack and called me a bunch of names because I had "embarrassed him." One time I was waiting for a bus in Anchorage and a guy went by and said --"Why don't you get a job barfly?" Amazing to me is that I was working two jobs at the time and have never drank a day in my life. When I lived in Wasilla I had one man follow me home and accuse me of drinking and driving! Maybe because I wasn't skinny enough for these men and wasn't blonde and blue eyed who knows? There is alot of alcoholism, wife abuse, and drunks in Alaska. I don't think the Alaska Men's Magazine mentions that however.

More and more homeless families and children in America yet President Trumps cuts foodstamps

I guess homeless families, and children, and growing poverty in America doesn't concern a billionaire president who just recently cut foodstamps for America's poor. One out of five children in America today are homeless and hungry yet the richest president in America's history has cut foodstamps more than 1/2 for the nation's poor. And most of them are children. Funny how our government can build new missles, new ships, build a Berlin wall, and help the refugees all across America and yet allow America's most vunerable to go hungy. Shame on you Donald Trump, shame on you!
